Four live chat sessions were held, scheduled approximately every 3 weeks.
Eight people participated in one or more the chat sessions.
Types of information shared in chat sessions included recent developments re- lated to the interest group topic, reflections and discussions about recent posts, interest group resource sharing, discussions about the use of social media for specific information sharing purposes, and new social media tools to explore.
Chat sessions were reported as the most useful tool for sharing and discussing interest group resources, as well as for connecting with VIG collaborators and troubleshooting issues.
Information gathering took place when exploring all the different tools but may have been most evident in the chat sessions where questions were addressed in real time.
